Bombardier brought in a CRJ1000NG aircraft, operated by BritAir for Air France, to the Singapore Airshow 2012. The CRJ1000NG is a newly designed regional aircraft, and now providing a 4% improvement in fuel consumption as compared with pre-launch estimates.

During the Singapore Airshow 2012, Bombardier officially announced that Garuda Indonesia has purchased 6 such aircraft and has options for an additional 18. Garuda will be the first customer to operate this sleek jet in the Asia Pacific region.

Embraer brought in the brand new Legacy 650 jet, which is owned by HK superstar Jackie Chan. Nicknamed the “JC Jet”, the livery features a red and yellow ribbon on the fuselage and has Jackie’s named as part of its tail livery. The Legacy 650 is the latest offering in the portfolio of Executive Jets by Embraer, and part of the Legacy 600/650 program which, to date, has seen 190 units in service worldwide.

N787BX, the 3rd Boeing test aircraft, graced the lands of the Changi Exhibition Centre during the Singapore Airshow 2012. She is fitted with Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines, and has a sample of the various interiors the airlines can choose from.
