Bombardier brought in a CRJ1000NG aircraft, operated by BritAir for Air France, to the Singapore Airshow 2012. The CRJ1000NG is a newly designed regional aircraft, and now providing a 4% improvement in fuel consumption as compared with pre-launch estimates.
During the Singapore Airshow 2012, Bombardier officially announced that Garuda Indonesia has purchased 6 such aircraft and has options for an additional 18. Garuda will be the first customer to operate this sleek jet in the Asia Pacific region.
